CAMERA OBSCURA

In her new series, Regina Rzaeva transforms found archival photographs of an unknown man into painted fragments of memory - faded, fleeting, suspended between dream and reality.

Some canvases remain intentionally erased or left unfinished, allowing untouched surfaces to become points of quiet presence, heightening the fragility of the moment.

Water appears throughout the series as a mirror - reflecting, distorting, revealing. Light and shadow, absence and image create a rhythm in which perception becomes a space of subtle, inner transformation.
