You’ve quit your job again
The title “You’ve Quit Your Job Again” should not be understood literally, but rather as a metaphor for an inner separation from a former version of oneself. In the context of this exhibition, it is less about employment and more about the recurring act of rejecting imposed roles, external expectations, and outdated forms that no longer reflect one’s true nature. The phrase can be interpreted as a moment in which a person once again leaves behind what no longer belongs to them, sheds another layer, and takes one step closer to their authentic self.
In this sense, “job” becomes a symbol of any structure that confines us within an artificially constructed identity, while “quit” represents an act of liberation. It is not an endpoint, but part of an ongoing journey—a repeated process of letting go of what is unnecessary, leading toward a more essential and genuine mode of being. The title may sound abrupt and almost mundane, yet it is precisely within this simplicity that its deeper connection to the exhibition’s concept emerges: a movement from excess to essence, from the external to the internal, from constructed identities to an authentic state of existence.
